EMV® Liability

What’s EMV®? And Why Do You Need It Now?

As you may know, the U.S. is in the process of migration to EMV® (Europay, Mastercard and Visa), with the initial fraud liability shift milestone complete in October 2015. With the completion of this October 2015 milestone, non-EMV®-capable merchants are now responsible for counterfeit fraud transaction losses at their locations. EMV® Chip cards contain embedded microprocessors that provide strong transaction security features and other application capabilities not possible with traditional magnetic stripe cards. As part of the NAPA SAFEPAY+ program, NAPA and Bank of America have coordinated a special offer for your EMV® ready solutions.

“ I first decided to switch to NAPA SAFEPAY+ to become PCI compliant. The last thing I wanted was to lose a customer over not being PCI compliant. I’ve now had it for a few months, and can safely say, it has helped my overall business tremendously. My countermen are thrilled as they now have more time to assist our customers rather than having to deal with the old process we had in place. NAPA SAFEPAY+ has DEFINITELY expedited our order process while cutting down on errors. I could not be happier with NAPA SafePay+. Once I got in contact with the proper TAMs support personnel, I was setup in no time. NAPA SAFEPAY+ has exceeded my expectations, and I cannot wait to utilize more aspects of it, such as the gift cards. Thanks NAPA! ”
